Climate / Clothing
- What is the weather like in January, February, and March?

January
January is winter season even in tropical Okinawa. Average temperatures 14 ℃ ～ 19 ℃. The air feels colder than the actual temperature. Maximum high is 19 ℃ but the north wind blows regularly and makes it feel chilly. Shorts and flip-flops are not recommended. You will need a jacket or windbreaker, but you will definitely feel warmer than in mainland Japan.
February
February is the coldest month of the year. Average temperatures 14 ℃ ～ 20 ℃. The overall average is 17 ℃, but the island is windy and the cold air makes the temperature feel lower. Most people wear long-sleeved clothing during the day but be sure to bring a jacket for the even cooler mornings and evenings.
March
March is the month summer comes (maybe). Average temperatures 16 ℃ ～ 21 ℃. The overall average is 19 ℃ and the sunlight can be strong during the day. There will some beaches and pools open before the end of the month so do not forget your swimming suit. Short sleeves can be worn during the day but please bring a light weight jacket for cooler days or evenings. - What is the weather like in April, May, and June?

April
April is early summer and open beaches. Average temperatures 18 ℃～24 ℃. In this cool and comfortable season you can enjoy the unique resort style with a t-shirt and flip-flops during the day. However, UV protection is indispensable, so please have your sunscreen and sunglasses. It can get a little cold early in the morning and evening. You may want thin long sleeves when you go out.
May
May is when you can enjoy Okinawa style Kariyushi wear. Average temperatures 21 ℃～26 ℃. Shorts sleeves and shorts and flip-flops are the most comfortable for moving around. However, indoor air conditioners can be cold, so please be prepared. A thin jacket can be used both for air conditioning and for UV protection. Kariyushi clothing is fun for the whole family to wear.
June
June is when humidity begins to get high. Average temperatures 24 ℃～29 ℃. June is very similar to August in mainland Japan and the sun is very strong. You can spend all your time in short sleeves, shorts, tank tops, etc. - What is the weather like in July, August, and September?

July & August
July / August is the real summer! Average temperatures 26 ℃ ～ 34 ℃. An average day temperature is between 30 and 32 degrees and it rarely exceeds 35℃ because we have frequent summer sqalls and there is always a breeze. You can spend a comfortable day in the shade. Clothing with short sleeves, shorts, tank tops are recommended but please be careful about getting sunburned. The summer also brings typhoons so it is good to check weather reports regularly.
September
September begins to cool down a little. Average temperatures 25 ℃ ～ 30 ℃. Mornings and evenings are comfortable, however, don't forget to take measures against sunburn during the day. UV protection continues to be important. September typhoons are also very frequent. - What is the weather like in October, November, and December?

October
October is a very comfortable month. Average temperatures 22 ℃～27 ℃. The summer days of extreme heat are almost gone, but the days can still be hot. It begins to get chilly in the morning and at night so we recommend bringing a light jacket and walking shoes rather than sandals. Typhoons are fewer but they can still be very powerful.
November
November is the best month for sightseeing. Average temperatures 19 ℃～24 ℃. This month you will feel autumn in Okinawa. Short sleeves during the day is fine but you will want long sleeves or a light jacket for evenings. It is past typhoon season by now.
December
December can be a month of comfortable temperatures or it can feel very cool. Average temperatures 16 ℃～21 ℃. Because of windy conditions it usually feels about 2 degrees colder than the reported temperature. So please be sure to bring a coat especially towards the end of the month. It is a great time for sightseeing rather that looking for indoor activities.

- How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

There are four types of transportation from the airport: airport limousine bus, taxi, rental car, and local bus. The airport limousine bus schedule changes frequently depending on the season so please check it before arriving in Okinawa.

Sightseeing

Todoroki Falls & Park
This scenic spot that was once crowded with school children on field trips has been reborn as a park. It is only a 5 minute drive from the hotel. In the 15,000 sq.m. of area, there is an abundance of flora and fauna to enjoy.

It will take about 60 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
- Do you sell discount tickets for tourist attractions such as Churaumi Aquarium and Pineapple Park?

Discount admission tickets for Churaumi Aquarium as well as other sightseeing places are available at the hotel. Please contact the front desk for more information.

- Where is the closest golf course?

The nearest golf course to the hotel is the Kise Country Club which is about 5 minutes by car. The Japan Professional Golf Champoinship event has been held here in the past.

- Can dependents stay overnight (by themselves)?

Dependents from age 16 to 18 may stay overnight. However, the parent or guardian must submit a consent form either directly to the hotel staff at check-in time or in advance by mail or fax.

- What are the times for check-in and check-out?

Check-in time is 15:00. Check-out time is 11:00 am.
For guests staying on the Executive Floor or in a Suite Room, check-out time is 12:00 (noon).
*If the check-in or check-out time is specified in your plan, that time will be given priority.
- Is there a foreign currency exchange machine in the building?

There is a machine on the Lobby Floor (2F). It is available 24 hours and exchanges 12 currencies.

Rooms
- What is the difference between a Superior Room and a Universal Design Room?

The Universal Design Room is a type of room that is easy for children and the elderly to use. The interior is the same as the Superior Room except that the main door and the bathroom door are sliding doors for easier access, and the shower space and toilet are equipped with handrails. Also, the space between the bed and the counter is a little wider.
- Do you rent computers at the hotel? Is it possible to use the internet?

We do not rent out personal computers.
Free wifi is available throughout the hotel and LAN lines are available in the guest rooms. - Are pajamas provided?

Adult size (free size) night wear is available.
- Are there pajamas or slippers for children?

There is a child's yukata (for children about 120 cm tall) and child size slippers (18 cm).
Please let us know if you require these items. - Can I use the guest room refrigerator for personal items?

Yes, please feel free to use it.
Please note that the total capacity of the fridge is about 40L and large size items such as a birthday cake will not fit inside. Also, the size of the freezer is very small. - Are curling irons provided?

There is a regular hair dryer provided in the rooms, but no dryers with a brush or curling irons.
- Is the Video On Demand (VOD) system free?

In certain seasons it is possible to enjoy using fireworks at Kariyushi Beach. Fireworks are available for purchase at the hotel KBC shop or at the shop next to the beach reception (in front of the beach). Please refrain from using fireworks in any other location such as inside the hotel facilities or on the guest room balconies.
- Are the slippers provided in the room disposable?

Yes. Both the adult and children size slippers are disposable.
Slippers for adults are provided in the guest rooms.
There are children's size slippers available in the amenity base on the Lobby Floor.

- Is there a supermarket near the hotel where I can buy baby milk powder, baby food, and diapers?

The following baby products are available at the KBC Shop on the Lobby Floor of the hotel: diapers, baby food, baby biscuits, stick milk powder, baby drinks, etc.

- Can I have two beds together against a wall for sleeping with a child?

We can put 2 beds together (Hollywood Twin), but because of the room design they cannot go against the wall.
- What size are your baby strollers? Can I take them outside of the hotel?

Our baby strollers are Japanese AB size. During your stay, they can be used outside of the hotel.

- Should I make dinner reservations?

We recommend making reservations in advance so you can be sure of your choice of restaurant and time. Pre-arrival reservations are accepted by phone or can be made online. Please check the following link.

We do not have a baby food menu, but if it is difficult to bring in baby food due to allergies, we will do our best to accommodate you. Please contact the restaurant at least 2 days in advance for reservations.

- Is the pool available for use before check-in?

Pool and beach towels are available from the from the pool reception desk as well as at the amenity base.
- Are there rings and floats available for use?

Inner tubes (rings) can be rented at the Garden Pool for ¥ 1,000 / day (March-October).
There are waist helpers, arm helpers, and beat boards (for small children) available for use in the indoor pool only. Please do not take them to the Garden Pool. Please understand there is a limited number of items. - Is there an air pump for inflating floats?

There is one located at the Garden Pool for guests to use. Please ask the staff for details.
- "For safety reasons, the waterslide is limited to those who are 120cm or more in height." Is there a height measure? Is it really not possible to use it unless you are 120 cm tall?

Yes, there is a height measure in next to the waterslide. For safety reasons, the hotel restricts the use of the waterslide to those who are over 120 cm in height. For the purpose of protecting the safety of our customers, we have set a height limit because the waterslide was designed with these particular specifications and with a warning for those under 120 cm tall. Also, for safety purposes, it is not possible for two people to use the slide together. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety of all of our customers.
We have installed a small slide for small children in the shallow pool (water depth 80 cm). There are no restrictions for using this slide, so we hope the little ones will enjoy using it. - Is the pool heated? Can it be used by 1 year old children?

The indoor pool is heated year-round but it is not too hot to use for training. Part of he Garden Pool is heated for some seasons. All infants/children are free to use the pools with the supervision of their parents.Those who are not toilet trained are required to wear swim diapers which are available for purchase at the reception desk. Swim suits are also required. There are arm helpers and beat boards available for use by small children.
- Where is the nearest beach?

Kariyushi Beach is nearby. We provide a free shuttle service as it is about a 2 minute drive away.
- Are there showers at Kariyushi Beach?

Yes, there are cold showers and changing rooms available. Please bring your own amenities.
- Where can I make a reservation for beach activities?

Reservations are required for diving, snorkeling, and parasailing, and reservations can be made from one month before use.

There is no onsen but there is a spa. We have 5 types of baths in the spa.
- Are there towels available for use in the spa?

- Is there a coin laundry in the hotel?

Yes, there is a coin laundry on the first floor next to the elevator hall.
Washing machine up to 5kg ￥500
Dryer up to 5kg ￥200 for 20 minutes
Laundry soap is automatically provided in the washing machine (you do not need to purchase it separately).
Please make sure to remove your own laundry promptly so as not in inconvenience other guests.

In accordance with the provisions of Article 24 of the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law, the hotel does not provide medicines. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you prepare and bring with you any medications you might need.
