We support activities that lead to nature conservation while enjoying the charm of the Yambaru forest in the northern part of the main island of Okinawa which has been registered as a Natural World Heritage Site.
Thinking about environmental problems with our family members through actual experience will certainly be an unfading memory not only for children but also for adults.

Right in the backyard of Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa is the Yambaru Forest, which is now registered as a Natural World Heritage Site and is home to many important native species.
There are many issues related to nature conservation such as the poaching of precious resources and the introduction of non-native species. There are limits to what local residents can do by themselves in terms of conservation activities.
Oriental Hotel is supporting and cooperating with Yambaru Forest and Higashi Village by offering the "Yambaru Ranger Tour." This tour embodies the concept of responsible tourism that can contribute to nature conservation activities as the number of tourists will continue to increase.
Participants in the Ranger Tour will help with the removal of introudced species which are listed in the Okinawa Prefecture SDGs literature. They will also cooperate with conservation activities in the Yambaru Forest.
The professional guide will take you on a trekking course and give you plenty of information about the forest and how to protect the World Heritage Site.
Everyone will be presented with a Certificate of Participation by Higashi Village. As a learning experience for children, it is one of the best ways to learn about Okinawa's abundance and to do it in a fun way with family and friends.

・24 hour stay plan (13:00 check-in, 13:00 check-out)
・Use of the spa (1 person / 1 night / 1 time)
※Meeting time will be 15 minutes prior to departure.
※Please wear clothing and shoes comfortable for walking.
※In case of rain, rain gear and boots will be provided.
