Awarded: Mental Barrier-Free Certification for Tourist Facilities
On Thursday, January 18, 2024, Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa was awarded the Mental Barrier-Free Certification for Tourist Facilities by the Japan Tourism Agency.
At Oriental Hotel Okinawa we always strive to provide education and training so that all of our guests can use our facilities without any obstacles or worries.
About the Mental Barrier-Free Certification for Tourist Facilities
This certification system was established in December 2020 for tourist facilities that proactively provide barrier-free accommodation as well as the dissemination of information. Our goal is to promote the creation of environments that allow the elderly and people with disabilities to travel safely and comfortably.
■ Three Certification Standards
① The facility must take three or more measures to supplement the barrier-free services of the facility and take measures to ensure that the elderly and people with disailities can use the facility safely and comfortably.
② Barrier-free education and training must be conducted at least once a year.
③ Barrier-free information such as barriers at facilities must be proactively shared on websites other than the company's own website.
