One of them is harvesting and roasting Okinawan coffee during the winter. Okinawa is located at the northern end of what is known as the coffee belt around the world and has been cultivating coffee for more than 100 years. Because the harvest is small and is rarely shipped outside of Okinawa, it was not widely known that coffee was grown here. With the recent developmenbt of coffee culture, rare Okinawan grown coffee is beginning to attract attention not only in Japan but from around the world.
Another unique experience is hiking through the subtropical forest. When people think about Okinawa, they usually think about the beautiful ocean. However, in order to fully enjoy the charm of Yambaru, it is essential to get to know the forest. While you climb to the top of a mountain where a magnificent view of mountains surrounded by the stunning ocean awaits you, you have the opportunity to observe plants, birds, and animals endemic to Okinawa.
The tour offered by our hotel allows guests to enjoy both of these experiences in half a day. Make effective use of your limited travel time and enjoy an active trip to Okinawa even in winter.
