Okinawa x Fukuoka Yuimaru Project 4th Edition
Drink & Gourmet Experience--a new type of "Eating Drinks"

February 1 to May 31, 2026

From February 1 (Sunday) to May 31 (Sunday), 2026, Oriental Hotels & Resorts will present the "Okinawa x Fukuoka Yuimaru Project 4th Edition." During this period, three hotels across Okinawa and Fukuoka will mutually offer three varieties of "Edible Drinks."

The project name, "Yuimaru," is an Okinawan dialect term meaning "helping each other," "collaboration," or "let’s work hard together." It reflects our desire to revitalize and promote both the Fukuoka and Okinawa regions as one.

For this fourth installment, we have developed "Edible Drinks" that pursue high-impact visuals and unexpected flavors. Our goal is to provide a sense of satisfaction that is "more than a drink, but lighter than a meal," offering guests a new way to enjoy their stay. Through this collaboration, all three unique drinks—each showcasing the distinct character of its respective hotel—will be available simultaneously at all participating locations in Okinawa and Fukuoka.

■ "Edible Drink" Lineup: Three Varieties

① Okinawa Jimami (peanut) Soy Latte / Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa

The velvety texture of Jimami tofu (Okinawan peanut tofu) meets soy milk to create a rich yet healthy soy latte. Experience the delightful harmony of sweet-and-savory mousse and fragrant roasted peanuts, while the gentle warmth of brown sugar and ginger provides a soothing touch to weary travelers.

② RYUKYU Potacino / Okinawa Harbor View Hotel

This soup-like beverage is crafted with a base of Miki—a traditional Okinawan fermented rice drink—and homemade goya (bitter melon) juice. The deep umami of white dashi and the mellow sweetness of Okinawan brown sugar gently wrap around the goya’s signature bitterness. Finished with the floral aroma of Pipats (island pepper), this drink offers a profound and layered flavor experience.

③ Hakata Mentaiko Latte (Baguette Set) / Oriental Hotel Fukuoka Hakata Station

Experience the new sensation of "Drinkable Mentaiko." We have captured the rich umami and distinct texture of Hakata’s soul food—spicy cod roe—and wrapped it in a velvety veil of white miso and butter. This rich, creamy latte is a true "sip of culinary art." We invite you to dip your crispy baguette and savor the deep, luxurious harmony of flavors to your heart's content.
